A quarter of a century of history for the Oknoplast group


In 25 years the Oknoplast group has made a place among the 5 European leaders in the production of doors and PVC windows. The family businesses created in 1994 has maintained its economic and social values ​​while growing on the market, thanks to its surprising force in innovation. To celebrate his 25th anniversary, the group invited more than 800 people during his first European convention. Again on his history and his successes.

800 guests participated in the first European convention of the Oknoplast group in Zakopane, in the heart of the Polish mountains. More than 13 countries represented and almost 200 participants for the French delegation. An agreement that offered a masterful show to its guests who portray the history of the group and its objectives for the future. Adam Placek, founder of The Oknoplast Group, and his son Mikołaj Placek, CEO of The Oknoplast Group, tonight they highlighted the opening of the group. Five main themes have been advanced on the group’s wishes for the next few years:

  3. Big data: The continuous collection of information on customers aims to find solutions that meet their preferences, requirements and needs.
  4. Ecology: A criterion that has become essential for the future and the protection of the environment will be at the center of the group concerns with the implementation of a certain number of actions aimed at eliminating negative impacts on the environment by reducing CO2 emissions in the atmosphere.
  5. Changes: inevitable for any commercial activity, changes are the lot of every industrialist and Oknoplast will be present and reactive.

Using over 1850 employees and with a production capacity that exceeds 2 million windows per year, Oknoplast has won spectacular successes on the European market. In 2018, the Oknoplast group obtained a turnover of 171 million euros. 75% of total income come from sales on foreign markets through the 3 brands of the group: Oknoplast, Aluhaus and Wnd.

R&D in the heart of the reflection strategic

From his creation, Oknoplast has bet on innovation. Thanks to a permanent research and development investment, various innovative technical solutions have been implemented. Therefore, the company has developed the 5 -room profile. The 3 mm glass used in the PVC windows followed and the creation of a thermal barrier – Airgel which constituted a further heat gain in the house.

In 2015, Oknoplast launched the Mini Charm range, a window with a glass of 22% larger than that of the standard windows.

In 2018, the SmartWindow marked a turning point for the group with its intelligent connected window. This window therefore not only easily inserts the light in the habitat, but also acts as an intelligent touchscreen.

In 2018, you do place to an exceptional design with the lunar. This window dominated by the glass is entirely covered by the entire opening. A unique aesthetic.

One thing is sure, Oknoplast will not stop there and intends to continue his conquest of the carpentry market and the deployment of his innovative solutions!

A new production site

In order to achieve its new objectives, the group has chosen to invest massively in the expansion of its production site – PVC and aluminum – and introduce more automation in its production process. The primary objective is to increase the production capacity of the company aimed at 30%growth.

This new production and logistics complex will offer an additional area of ​​16,000 m². A modern system of system and logistics packaging of finished products will also be born with this project.

One of the strong wishes of Mikołaj Placek is to protect the environment at the center of the reflections and solutions of tomorrow in the development of this new site. He also said: » With these investments we will be ready to implement the most creative ideas with even more strength, while guaranteeing the utmost precision of the products ».

Finally, these investments will also significantly improve the comfort of employees both in terms of production and offices of the different departments of the group. The entire project should be completed by the beginning of the second quarter of 2024.

Aluminum at the center of the group development

In 2014 Oknoplast launched its range of aluminum doors and windows under the Aluhaus brand. Production processes that guarantee superior quality products, with exceptional aesthetic but also high safety and energy saving. The group wishes to invest heavily in the aluminum market in France and position yourself as a real challenger. With its complete range of doors and windows, Aluhaus is able to provide product solutions in line with the expectations and consumer requirements. On the side of the sales force, many sales assistance tools – suitcase, corners, catalogs, etc. – They are made available for teams. New aluminum training sessions are also offered to the group internal teams and aluminum retailers. Finally, a brand new website with a configurator of entrance doors is also planned in early October 2019. Enough to ensure great perspectives for the next few years.
